I’m going through some SPs as Spring Training gets ramped up. Make sure you check out part one here if you missed it.


Tier 5

I think it’s fair to say you don’t want any of these guys as your ace. Starting pitcher is pretty awesome at the top, but it seems to thin out pretty quickly. I’d be pretty inclined to grab three of the top 27 on the list.

He is seemingly getting worse, and injuries hit last year. It’s tough to love the guy. His last two strikeout rates have been 26% and 23%. His K-BB% fell to 17% last year. That’s still a fine number, but not top 20 SP stuff like we had gotten used to with him. And he threw just 76 big league innings last year. So there’s reason for pessimism.
