2026 Strength of Schedule Data
A look at the 2026 MLB schedule and how tough each team projects to have it
There are fewer division games played these days than there have been for most of baseball history. It wasn’t until 1997 that the teams in the two different leagues played each other at all before the World Series, which is pretty wild to think about.
Eventually, I think we’ll be done with divisions for good. But they still matter quite a bit right now and not all schedules are created equal.
So let’s look at some strength of schedule stuff for the 2026 season.
I used The Bat X projections to assign a hitting and pitching score (100 being the average) for each team, and then I merged those all in to each team’s schedule and found the overall strengths of schedule.

I’ll just give you some old-fashioned lists. If I’ve learned one thing in Internet content creation, it’s that people love lists.
