Yesterday was Armageddon: DeGrom and Gavin getting blown up. I’m really annoyed by Gavin because we laddered him up, and he struck out three in the first inning, started with a fourth, and then just completely disintegrated. Through 1.1 innings, we had four Ks. We were well on our way to the over, and he just decided he didn’t want to pitch anymore. Between him and DeGrom, there were a lot of earned runs given up yesterday.
So if you read my GPP article, I’m gonna fade Mr. Roupp today. In there, I like a couple of his props:
His walk prop is plus money at 2.5, and the Reds walk at a decent rate.
They have multiple guys that walk over 10% of the time, and this is a guy that’s hit this line in five straight games.
He walks a ton of people. It’s just what he does, and we’re getting it for plus money today.
