What can I say? I am a sucker for anyone pitching against the Sox and Angels, and we’re going to go with Mr. Zebby Matthews today. He’s looked really good in his last two outings. We have him for right on his projection line today, but here’s the thing: the Sox have really, really struggled against right-handed pitching. They’re now the number 3 K-rate team in the league. You got guys like Montgomery striking out 38% of the time, and McCrombie is over 40%. Those two guys might strike out 5 times between them. It’s just too good a spot to pass up today. Especially for a guy that’s put up a 34% whiff rate and a 28% K rate at a 28% put-away rate versus right-handers in his last three outings
