April 25 DraftKings Main Slate. The Bad Pitcher Buffet.
I love these size slates. Seven games, two clearly broken arms on the mound, and a high team totals that I think the field is mispricing. When playing lineups acrosss the cash-to-MME spectrum, the goal is the same in all of them. Hammer the run environments the projections are screaming about and pay down at the punt spots the field is ignoring. In MME make sure you are using an Opto. Pick your spots and leverage ownership.
The Slate Take
The runs live in three games. LAD/CHC at 9.5, NYY/HOU at 9.0, and DET/CIN at 9.5. The field is going to default to LAD because the matchup numbers against Colin Rea are obscene. They are right that LAD is the spot. They are wrong about how to get there. Misiorowski at 37 percent ownership is the chalk, Gore at 45 percent is the megachalk, and the field is over-paying for both. The cleaner edge tonight is the bat side. Three of the worst pitchers on the slate are taking the ball, and the field is only correctly fading two of them. Mike Burrows ($6.5K) and Colin Rea ($6.8K) are getting low ownership and a beating. Brady Singer ($6.3K) is the third arm in that group, and he is the one the field has wrong but will be seen as a value arm by projections.
