Shota Imanaga - 8
21% K-BB%, velo is up, he’s fooling dudes left and right. The homers are going to get to him more than they have, but he’s convincingly elite right now. I’ll give him an 8 just because of the home run thing, the warmer weather coming, and the struggles we saw last year.
Edward Cabrera - 7
He’s warming up a little bit with 22 whiffs in his last two. The BB% is down to 8% now. But he hasn’t had a ton of strikeouts for the yar (22% K%, 13.2% SwStr%), and he’s never ever been consistent.
It’s good to see him dropping that BB%, but I can’t believe it’ll stay at 8%. That’s about what it was last year, so maybe. I’ll give him a seven just because the Cubs are such a good team to pitch for and Cabrera rarely gets hit hard with the good stuff he has.
