If we’re going to become a truly good source of content for dynasty and prospects, I have to get involved. I can’t just heap all of the work on Tim.

I’m not a scout, and I haven’t done a lot of prospecting in my day. But I know baseball numbers.

For this post, I want to focus on prospects who could be in the Major Leagues very soon. I view all of these guys as “next man up” if their team has an injury at their position, and I bet we see each and every one of them in the Majors this year as long as they stay healthy.

NOAH SCHULTZ, WHITE SOX

The White Sox could use some SP help, and Schultz might provide a little bit of an answer to their problem. The huge lefty a 19:2 K:BB in AAA so far. He’s made two starts and one extended relief appearance. It’s a 40% K% and a 4% BB% through 14 innings. Beautiful stuff.

It’s a -0.12 JA ERA so far. All of his pitches are being landed for strikes and his 29% Ball% is elite.

It looks all very good, and I’d be trying to add Schultz ahead of time if you think he’s going to get the call-up pretty soon.
