The Run Environment

Seven games is a medium slate, which means standard rules apply. Ownership could get a little crazy on the Colorado game. Being right still matters more than being weird, so I’m not torching equity just to be different. Here are the implied totals that matter, straight off the sheet:

  • PIT, 7.1, opposing Tomoyuki Sugano

  • ATH, 6.0, opposing Walbert Urena

  • LAD, 5.8, opposing Trevor Rogers

  • HOU, 5.1, opposing Joey Cantillo

  • ARI, 5.1, opposing Taj Bradley

Here’s the thing the totals hide. The COL game has the 10.5 over/under and Coors on the marquee, so the whole world is going to pile into bats in that game. But the COL hitters are the ones facing Paul Skenes, and the 7.1 implied total in that game belongs to PIT, who get Sugano. The field sees “Coors” and hopefully buys the home jersey. Ownership is going to be off this early in the day when there are 2 7 game slates our goal is to hope that the A’s and Pirates come down.

ATH at 6.0 against Urena is the quieter spot the sharp crowd will find, and LAD at 5.8 against Trevor Rogers is real but the bats are priced up. My detected game count matched the seven entered, so no discrepancy to flag.
