The Run Environment

The sim ran 9 games at 2000 apiece and there is no argument about the top of the board. DET at SF projects 12.14 total runs, a full 1.8 clear of the next game, with Detroit at 6.29 and San Francisco at 5.85, the two highest team totals on the slate. CHC at KC is second at 10.32, then LAD at ARI at 9.45 and HOU at SD at 9.20. The floor of the slate is CLE at CWS at 7.55, with Chicago’s south side at 3.15 sim runs.

Here is the problem. The field is piled into the Cubs, not the Tigers. Cubs bats add up to roughly 103% combined ownership across seven names, led by Michael Busch at 19%. Detroit’s entire lineup adds to about 30%. The best game on the board is being sold at a third of the price of the second-best game. That is the whole slate in one sentence.
