The goal of this column is to give you the most fantasy-relevant prospect information throughout the last week, all in one place. The format of this weekly prospect report will be a run-through of my top 15 prospects of the week.
I will try my best to highlight new prospects every week, rather than repeat names, unless the repeat is so warranted I just can’t help myself.
This should not be seen as a weekly stash ranking, but as a ranking of top performers each week through all levels. My updated top 150 rankings can currently be found on MLB Data Warehouse, and thanks to Jon, we will now have regularly updated fScores throughout the year.

T-10 Prospects
1. SP Austin Gordon (Angels) - AA
ETA: Late 2027
Comp: A bigger-framed Zach Eflin
Prime Skills: Gordon has quietly turned into the best helium story on the entire Angels farm, and the timing could not be louder, he was part of a combined no-hitter for Double-A Rocket City on August 27, the franchise’s third in its history, thrown alongside Lucas Mahlstedt and Camden Minacci. This isn’t one hot start either, a 4th-round senior-spring pick out of Clemson whose college path bounced from freshman reliever to sole weekend starter to closer duty as a junior, he’s been stretched back into a starter role as a pro and simply hasn’t given the organization a reason to reconsider it. The fastball is the least interesting part of the package, 92-93 with modest ride and run, touching 97 in short stints, but the two breaking balls are what make this a real prospect rather than organizational filler. The mid-to-upper-80s slider has a short, biting shape that plays almost like a cutter at times, while the upper-70s curveball is a completely different look, slower with real vertical depth, giving hitters two distinct breaking-ball planes off a 6-5 frame that creates natural deception on its own. A mid-80s changeup rounds out a four-pitch mix, though it’s still a distant, rarely-used fourth option rather than a real weapon yet. One evaluator went as far as calling him more big-league ready right now than Tyler Bremner, the Angels’ actual second overall pick from last year’s draft who’s also currently starting to click at the same level, a genuinely bold claim given the pedigree gap between the two but one the recent results are making harder to argue with after his 7 perfect innings with 8 strikeouts this last week. Gordon profiles as a back of rotation starter.

2. C/1B Jason Schiavone (Astros) - AA
ETA: Late 2027
Comp: Hunter Goodman light
Prime Skills: Schiavone was an 11th rounder out of James Madison and is a complete under the radar breakout prospect this season after hitting under the Mendoza line in 2025. This is his second time on the list this season and he now has 30 homers and 27 steals, incredibly impressive for a catcher. The hit tool is atrocious still, as should be expected with any Astros prospect and his home run pace is completely unsustainable. I would love to see the exit velocity data on this guy, but he’s barreling at a crazy rate and we should watch it in case he can become the next Hunter Goodman…. Schiavone hit .400 this week with 6 extra base hits and 5 bombs - giving him a .260/.398/.551 slash with 52 extra base hits on the year.

3. 1B/3B Andrew Fischer (Brewers) - AA
ETA: Mid 2027
Comp: A Bryce Harper swing in a Kyle Schwarber profile
Prime Skills: Fischer’s exit velocity profile, a 92.8 mph average, a 106.8 90th-percentile mark and a 111.3 max per Baseball Savant, grades plus for any college corner bat, and the shape of his miss rate tells the more useful story, a 33.8% strikeout rate as a pro against just 14% in college shows a contactability gap that opened up against better velocity, not an approach problem, his chase rate has stayed low the entire time. Fifty-seven extra-base hits in 105 games this year confirms the power is translating even while the average takes a hit, and his ability to reach real pull-side power angles carries an otherwise below-tolerance contact rate into a genuinely productive overall season. This week Fischer surpassed 40 bombs on the year with a three homer game and hitting .375 with 4 bombs on the week.

4. OF Matthew Etzel (Marlins) - AAA
ETA: Early 2027
Comp: Drew Gilbert and Anthony Santander mash
Prime Skills: Etzel is the rare prospect who’s been traded at back-to-back trade deadlines and is now on his third organization in as many years, first from Baltimore to Tampa Bay as part of the Zach Eflin return, then from the Rays to Miami in a straight swap for catcher Nick Fortes. A 10th-round senior sign out of Southern Miss, he’s genuinely powerfully built at 6-2, 211, and his pro debut with short-season Williamsport was a real eye-opener, .371/.463/.586 with 25 steals and more walks than strikeouts. The follow-up hasn’t matched it. He scuffled to a .230/.360/.347 line at Double-A Montgomery in 2025 before the Fortes trade, and the underlying scouting flag has been consistent since his college days, a specific, identified struggle against changeups, a 31% chase rate and a 38% whiff rate on that one pitch type alone back in his draft year. He’s since bounced back with a solid AAA season in Miami hitting .250/.350/.432 with 16 bombs and 21 steals. Etzel hit .429 with 5 extra base hits, 3 bombs and 3 steals this week and profiles best as a nice 4th OF type who is solid across the board with no outlier skills.

5. SP Mason Molina (Cardinals) - AAA
ETA: Early 2027
Comp: Lefty Ranger Suarez Light
Prime Skills: Molina capped off a stretch that just earned him the Cardinals’ Minor League Pitcher of the Month award for June with about as good a going-away present as a prospect can give a team, 6.2 shutout innings, five hits, two walks and six strikeouts in his final start with Double-A Springfield before a promotion to Triple-A Memphis, part of a June that saw him post a 2.45 ERA across five starts. Fittingly, his own teammate Jesus Baez took home the same organization’s Player of the Month honor that same June, the first time Springfield has had both awards go to the same club since 2023. Molina’s fastball won’t light up a radar gun, sitting low 90s and touching 95, but it plays up through well-above-average riding life and a real feel for attacking the top of the zone, the same shape-over-velocity trick that’s carried him through stops at Texas Tech, Arkansas, and now three different pro organizations after arriving in St. Louis as part of the return for reliever Phil Maton. He backs the heater with a slider that already grades as a legitimate complementary pitch and a fantastic changeup, though the curveball remains the clear odd pitch out. One real flag to highlight is his higher walk rate against a very strong strike-to-ball ratio, which shows some issues with finishing off hitters once he’s up in the count. This week, Molina pitched 5 scoreless innings with 9 strikeouts and 0 walks, giving up 5 hits. Molina also throws a sweeper, but it’s pretty terrible and it should be nixed before he hits the majors unless there’s significant development in the pitch - he’s a back end starter in the majors.
