Two Start Streamers
It’s a tough time of year to be finding waiver wire SPs. But I like our boy Jack Flaherty. You could do worse than Reynaldo Lopez, and even Kyle Leahy has some nice matchups. A play I might make is Matthew Liberatore against the Angels & Reds. Those are very nice matchups, but Liberatore and Leahy are both poor pitchers.
Pitchers - Yesterday
Skubal - very good
He’s been just the same guy since getting the micro needle. Apparently, the Tigers are leaning towards keeping them as they have a shot at a playoff spot. But it will be the last couple of months with Skubal wearing the Tigers uniform, no question about that.
Jared Jones - also very good
That’s 11 innings with three hits, one run, 17 strikeouts, and one walk in these last two. His fastball and slider have been dominant and he’s really locating well.
Shane Bieber had his first good outing.
It’s been pretty ugly for him since returning:
So I’m not really buying into him as of yet, but it was nice to see he’s still capable.
Nine strikeouts for Shane Drohan:
Another quality start and a 1.00 WHIP in that one. Drohan is pretty, pretty good.
