It all comes to an end today. Closing the book on another regular season, and another year of not missing the day on the daily notes. I feel good about what we did at MLB DW this year. Big thanks to Tim, Trevor, John Allen, Hunter, Doc, Owen, and Rob for helping out with content. We’ll do mostly the same thing next year, provided we’re set up for a mostly normal season.
And thanks to you all for supporting and using the tools. Having an audience is a big inspiration, and it enhances my life greatly.
I don’t have much time to write this morning, as it is Sunday. But we have four games that still have a say in which teams make the postseason today.
Rays vs. Phillies
D’Backs vs. Padres
Phillies need a win or a D’Backs loss to get in. So they need just one coin flip to hit, while the Snakes need two. That makes it 75/25 in favor of Philly.
The AL West is a dead heat:
Astros vs. Athletics
Rangers vs. Twins
The Rangers need to win and see the Astros lose. And they send MacKenzie Gore to the hill. Will he disappoint one more time? Will the Astros make it a moot point behind Peter Lambert taking on the A’s in the minor league park?
And all of these games start at 3:05 Eastern today, save NYM/WSH and BAL/NYY, who play at 1:05 for some reason. I love that final day of the season schedule where they all play at the same time.
