Introduction / Explanation For New Readers
Shane McClanahan does not appear in the first two sections of the report below, which I think is a first for him. He’s fallen out of the “last 3 weeks” lists as well, which he’s been on most of the year. I don’t have time on a Sunday to look further into it, but maybe we can hit that tomorrow.
Reid Detmers put up another elite start, further convincing us of his return as a near ace. George Kirby put up probably his best Major League start of the year, and I suspect that will really put some pressure on the M’s to keep him in the rotation. They are seemingly a playoff team, though, so they may opt to save his innings for the playoffs - meaning he could get skipped a time or two down the line - but he is really looking good.
