Introduction / Explanations for New Readers
It’s Father’s Day. The coolest thing a dad can do is not talk about himself, so I’ll just say that I hope all of you dads reading this have a great day and I hope you realize how important you are in the lives of your kids - and not even just while they’re kids - a father’s presence and guidance makes a massive difference in a person’s life - so good for you if you have kids and if you’re being a responsible, good dad to them.
But if you have kids and you’re not being a good dad - stop that, do better!
Insanely lame day for pitching yesterday, Urias led the way with just 55.5 JA points - a pretty pedestrian mark. Jameson Taillon used his slider a ton and Alek Manoah went to the sinker, so I thought those were both notable things in the notes.
Shohei Ohtani had two barrels and the hardest-hit ball of the day, but absolutely nothing to show for it in his double-header, so that’s really not cool. Also, Mookie Betts hit the IL - and I have him in both of the leagues I really want to win, so I might just go to bed and skip the rest of the day.
