MLB Daily Notes - Wednesday, April 13

I’ve added something new to the notes, and I’m calling it “JA scores”. I designed a little algorithm for scoring pitcher & hitter performance, and I’m printing the results here. Every day, you’ll see the top JA scores (Jon Anderson scores if you will) for yesterday’s pitchers and hitters and the season leaders. The season leaders aren’t total sums, they are per pitch (for pitchers) and per PA (for hitters).

I’m not going to tell you how I calculate it, because it’s way cooler if you don’t know. I might even start using the word “proprietary”.

Anyways all of this has once again chopped off the first two hours of my day and I’m once again behind on everything else. Hopefully things get smoother soon as I stabilize this and get all the bugs out of the way. It’s not a very pleasing way to start the day knowing you’re piling up work. I guess I should shut up now and get to it.
