Weather

We have problems. It’s a five-game slate and there are two games with real rain issues.

ASTROS at YANKEES

ORANGE - Initial thoughts: not great! We’ve got scattered storms around before, during, and probably after the game. Maybe they get lucky and radar sets up just right for them to squeeze a game in, but I think it looks pretty risky and has a high chance of a delay and a legitimate chance for a PPD.

BREWERS at METS

ORANGE - Same forecast as NYY, high chance of a delay, legit shot at a PPD. While these 2 ballparks are roughly 7 miles away, and potentially one could flood while the other stays dry, those kinds of details won’t be known until right before first pitch (if we’re lucky).

I thought they tried to not have the Yankees and Mets playing at home on the same day? You can’t pull that off all the time, and we have double trouble tonight in NYC.

If those two games get banged, we have a three-game slate. It also doesn’t help that Jacob Misiorowski is featured in the Brewers game. Every DFS slate he’s on pretty much hinges around him as a $12K pitcher you can’t really fade.

But let’s hit the highlights just in case this slate does go off with all five games. I’m not going to be playing this one, it’s too ugly.

Game Data

  • Yankees vs. Wesneski: 4.85 implied, +0.53

  • Brewers vs. Manaea: 4.56 implied, -0.42

Other than those two spots, we have low implied totals.

  • Blue Jays vs. Noah Cameron: 4.04

  • Royals vs. Spencer Arrighetti: 4.10

  • Giants vs. Jose Cabrera: 4.08

  • Braves vs. Yamamoto: 3.53

  • Astros vs. Gerrit Cole: 3.30

  • Dodgers vs. Sale: 3.08

  • Mets vs. Misiorowski: 2.56

So if it turns out to be a three-game slate, I guess you’re playing a bunch of Royals and Giants or something. What is this slate?

Pitchers

Surprisingly low projection on THE MIZZ, but what are you going to do? Not play the dude with a 39% K% and 1.41 JA SIERA?
