MLB DW Slate Preview - April 15
An automated report of each game on the MLB slate with full projections, recommended bets, and the top DFS plays from each.
The new approach began with a whimper. The DFS lineup came up short. I finished 49th out of 100, and obviously didn’t cash in the DFS league contest (you can join that league here). And I also had that Tanner Houck strikeout over as part of my $5 parlay, so that went laughably wrong.
So we are firmly zero-for-one in the beginning of this. Back on the horse tonight.
Prop of the Day
We’re going to do another two-man parlay. Both of these props are standing out in the ole model:
Quinn Priester Under 4.5 K (+115)
Yusei Kikuchi Under 1.5 BB (+130)
Priest has a 15% K% in 104.2 MLB innings. So I’m not sure where the expectation for more than five strikeouts is coming from on DraftKings’ behalf. He has just four career outings (out of 18) with more than four strikeouts.
Kikuchi’s walk rate is up there at 10% this season, but he has been under 7% in each of the last two seasons, so there might be a little bit of recency bias going on.
I’m guessing that combo will lose, but it’s +394 so I’m using that as my solo action of the day.
