Game Info
Guardians vs. Rays is the only one not on the DFS main slate. Once again, we have the Dodgers at the top of the board. It’s Chris Paddack vs. Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The Dodgers are an overwhelming favorite at -314 on the moneyline, and they’re implied to win this one 6.5-2.5.
Weather
Some reason for hesitation on pitchers in these two spots:
Mariners (Luis Castillo) at Twins (Connor Prielipp)
Angels (Kochanowicz) vs. White So (Kay)
The wind spot is Cleveland (Matz vs. Messick). It’s hot in Texas (Fried vs. Leiter), and we have some pitcher-favored winds in Pittsburgh (May vs. Montgomery/Dotel).
CARDINALS vs. PIRATES

Braxton Ashcraft was supposed to start this one, but he’s on bereavement, so we’ll see Mason Montgomery for the first inning and then Wilber Dotel, who was terrible. This dude was in AA all of last year and now finds himself in the Majors. They brought him up, it seems to me, for a mop-up long relief role. He has velo, but the fastball looks very, very hittable. I’d be all over the Cardinals there, especially on the F5 line. May’s strength is keeping the ball in the ballyard, but that’s about all he’s good at. The Pirates will have some base-runners, but they can’t rely on the long ball here.
YANKEES vs. RANGERS
I think it’s going to be a bad night for Jack Leiter. He has a 37% FB% this year, and now he faces the Yankees with some high temperatures. Four of the top nine HR projections below to the Yankees tonight:
