I’ve been waiting for this for awhile. Back at home, ready to play some DFS cash again, baby!

Weather

All clear:

Some big-hitting weather in Sacramento. It’s triple-diggies (pronounced triple-dijjies) weather in Arizona (which means the roof gets closed - so that doesn’t matter).

It’s pretty hot everywhere, including right here at MLB DW as we shape up to take first place in every single contest we enter tonight. BOOK IT.

Game Info

Cubs vs. Lorenzen

The game is a 9.5-run total, but the Cubs have most of that facing Lorenzen and his 9.7% K-BB%, .365 xwOBA allowed, .550 SLG, and 11 homers given up. Great spot for the Cubbies with some slight winds blowing out to left. That would be good for the Cubs lefties facing off with the righty.

Dodgers vs. Nick Martinez

I was surprised to see Martinez GB% only being 37%. He’s allowed just six homers this year with a .329 xwOBA allowed. So he’s keeping the ball in the yard, but not by getting it on the ground. The more important point is that Martinez does not strike dudes out.

There are many worse pitchers in the league than N-Mart, but it’s probably not going to go well tonight.

Athletics vs. Pirates

It’s Jared Jones in the hot temperatures in Sacramento. Not a good spot for him, I don’t think. The Athletics are a 5.8-run implication is heavy. There’s no doubt that Jones is capable of dominating a lineup if the fastball command is on - but he’s pretty volatile at the same time and the Pirates bullpen is a total mess.

On the bottom of the list are the Twins against MacKenzie Gore. Which is insane. A 3.4-run implication against Gore? That’s weird. But it speaks to the park factor in Texas. And we’ll see Gore near the top of the projections RIGHT AFTER THE PAYWALL lmao!
