We have seven games on the day slate. And one of those is game one of a doubleheader.
BOOM HITTERS
HOME RUN SUSCEPTIBILITY
We can CROSS-CHECK here. Juan Soto would be on both lists (as a BOOM hitter and as a guy up against a very susceptible pitcher to barrels and homers).
Jesus Sanchez is also on both. And those are the two.
You can parlay those two for +1100 on DraftKings.
PITCHER CHEAT SHEET
Chris Bassitt has a 23.5% K% against righties the last two seasons and a 19% mark against lefties. But he’ll only see Yordan Alvarez as an intimidating hitter from the left side. So he can have a decent day in the strikeout department for this one.
BASSITT 5+ STRIKEOUTS +116 on DraftKings
One more I like: The Braves To Not Homer +135 on DraftKings.
The Braves are #1 on the matchups model as a unit,b ut look at that 18.7% FB% against lefties like Valdez. They’re likely to struggle to lift the ball today. I think they can score runs, but probably not as much through the long ball.
Now we’ll go to a specific look at the DFS slate.
OPTIMIZER DISCLAIMER
With it being an early slate and with two of the games being part of doubleheaders, I don’t think the optimizer is going to work right. I still haven’t found the perfect solution for dealing with double headers.
WEATHER
It’s a touch NIPPY out there, but there’s no rain anywhere.
GAME INFO
The Reds laid a turd against Sugano last night, but they’re back at the top of the board today against Michael Lorenzen.
The Pirates have also been scuffling offensively, but they’re #2 on the board for this day slate against Hunter Dobbins.
