Well, John Allen has stolen my thunder, and he will be the first one to have an in-season content article published. Good for him, though. I’m lagging behind.

This will be a weekly article where he looks ahead at the schedule finding the most favorable park factors across the league for hitters and pitchers. It should help you know who to start, who to sit, and who to lean toward on the waiver wire.

Sometimes, hitting and pitching are just like real estate. It’s all about location, location, location.

In Park Predictors, we look at favorable matchups for hitters and pitchers based on where they are playing this week and the MLB DW Park Factors, which look at five years' worth of data for MLB ballparks.

Here’s a look at the abbreviated first week of the season.

HITTERS

Red Sox at Reds

Keep an eye on the weather report for this series. But if the snow is not flying, the Red Sox hitters will get to enjoy a park that allowed the most left-handed home run power (125) and was second in right-handed home run power (128).
