In Park Predictors, we look at favorable matchups for hitters and pitchers based on where they are playing this week and the MLB DW Park Factors, which look at four years' worth of data for MLB ballparks.

Here’s a look at the June 8-14:

HITTERS

Athletics

Who doesn’t want to spend a week in Las Vegas? The Athletics are not ready to move in yet, but they will host the Brewers and Rockies at their Triple A stadium for the week.

And if you thought the Athletics current major league home in minor league Sacramento was a launching pad, then let me introduce you to the shockingly boring named Las Vegas Ballpark. Located in western Las Vegas suburb of Summerlin next to the NHL stadium for the Golden Knights, it enjoys an average daily high temperature of 100 during the month of June

Hotter than the weather, the ballpark’s atmosphere and 340-foot foul lines makes for the best home run hitting in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. Since 2023, the Athletics’ Triple A home production ranks:

  • 2023: PCL-best 123 HR (1.64), 2nd in doubles (162) and SB (96), 3rd in runs (526), BA (.295) and SLG (.514)

  • 2024: PCL-best 125 HR (1.67), 172 doubles (2.9), 2nd in SLG (.511), 3rd in BA (.283),4th in runs 479 (6.4)

  • 2025: PCL-best 114 HR (1.52 per game), 563 runs (7.5), BA (.308), 2nd-best in SB (87) and SLG (.509)
