Park Predictors - Week 19
Examining the park influence for hitters, pitchers as you prepare for the week ahead
In Park Predictors, we look at favorable matchups for hitters and pitchers based on where they are playing this week and the MLB DW Park Factors, which look at four years' worth of data for MLB ballparks.
Here’s a look at the July 27-August 2:
HITTERS
Reds
Seven games at Great American Ballpark should be a slam dunk to play all your Reds. But with the arms the Guardians and Pirates can throw at you, it might have muted some of my enthusiasm.
Luckily for the Reds, the Guardians are scheduled to send struggling Slade Cecconi, and the unpredictable righty-left combo of Gavin Williams and Joey Cantillo to the mound for the three starts. With Paul Skenes looking human, Braxton Ashcraft fading in July, and Bubba Chandler and Mitch Keller struggling all season, it doesn’t look as difficult as you might think.
Overall, the Reds hitters have shockingly hit for a lower average and scored less runs per game at home in 2026, but they hit more home runs.
