In Park Predictors, we look at favorable matchups for hitters and pitchers based on where they are playing this week and the MLB DW Park Factors, which look at four years' worth of data for MLB ballparks.
Here’s a look at the Aug. 31-Sept. 6:
HITTERS
Colorado Rockies
Six games in Coors Field against the Orioles and Cardinals, facing two left starters.
Give me all the share of switch hitters Cole Carrigg (.302/.377/.481 at home) and Willi Castro (.310/.362/.480) you have. Should be a good week to spot start left-handed hitting Mickey Moniak (.312/.342/.709 at home vs. right-handed pitchers) and T.J. Rumfield (.319/.389/.519).
Baltimore’s pitching staff has an ERA a run higher on the road than at home. The Cardinals’ staff is also running a higher ERA on the road. So it’s a good week to have a Rockie hitter.
