We are going back to our out under today with Nick Pivetta taking the mound in an elimination game for the Padres. They are down 0-2 and he’s only thrown 34.2 innings this year. His line is 10.5, which says he’d have to get through the lineup more than once. I don’t believe they let him get through more than once. He gets through once, maybe one batter, and then he’s out. San Diego has the best bullpen in baseball. They can’t lose this game. If there is any hint of trouble he is gone, and he is not going to do what Burke did yesterday.
