Projection Powered Player Props - July 1
Stuart Durst is back with three props to start July the right way!
New month, but hopefully we can carry over some of that same momentum. Could quite go back-to-back on sweeps, but a 3-1 Friday was a great way to end the week. Plenty of great matchups today, check out my favorite player props below!
Gavin Williams 2+ Walks/Dodgers ML
Odds: -124
Book: Draftkings
Projection: 3.93
Gavin Williams is projected for the most walks on the slate today, and it makes sense given his recent form. Williams has walked 3+ batters in 3 straight games and 2+ walks in 15 of his 16 starts. He’s already posted an insane 45 walks in 80.2 innings pitched this year and I’m not sure why I wouldn’t continue to back him.
The Cubs matchup is good, they are dangerous at the plate and currently have the 5th highest walk rate in the MLB. Williams has had some problems with hard contact and a dangerous Cubs offense at home should have him being a bit careful. The only bummer with Williams is he really isn’t getting super deep into games, and I wouldn’t expect him to today with a rested bullpen after an off day.
Williams can’t stop walking people, and posted an insane 2+ walks in 15/16 starts. If they keep giving this to us as a parlay piece I’m going to keep taking it. I played it with the Dodgers moneyline facing the White Sox. They are rightfully the biggest moneyline favorite on the slate with Yoshinobu Yamamoto taking on a bottom three White Sox offense. The projections love the ladder on walks, and took a smaller play on 3 & 4+ walks at +125/+350.
