It’s about time to start thinking about the playoff weeks of the fantasy season. We’re still several weeks away in most leagues, but it’s a good time to take a peek at the strength of the schedule remaining.
I have done this with Python. First, I calculated how many fantasy points per plate appearance each offense has scored this year. Then, for each team, I scraped their remaining schedule. I then merged that fantasy points per PA number in for each opponent they’ll face the rest of the year, and then averaged that out. Very simple calculation. It might be a bit overly simple, but it will get us what we need.
Let’s take the toughest and softest remaining schedule and show you how it works, and then we’ll provide the full data. But you’ll have to be a paid sub to get it! So here’s goodbye to the freeloaders!
