Starts & Sits Advice :: March 28-29
Looking at today's and tomorrow's SP projections to help you make daily lineup and streamer decisions.
I started this bad boy last year, and I’m firing it up again today. I may have bitten off more than I can chew for this year. There’s a ton to do and it’s a bit overwhelming right now. So it will be important for you guys to tell me what you really value and what you don’t.
If you find this post helpful and really want it to keep going, please like it or leave a comment.
It’s not super time-consuming for me since it’s automated. But it’s another thing to do every other day, so we’ll see.
It uses my projection system to categorize pitchers into four groups
Must Starts
Leaning Start
Leaning Sit
Sits
Those are pretty self-explanatory. Of course, these things are league-specific. You’re going to make different decisions in a 10-team league compared to a 20-teamer, so you have to keep that in mind.
When I’m writing this, I’m mostly thinking of a 12-team league with about 300-350 players rostered.
I will also shuffle guys around myself if I think the projection is wrong, or if it’s a guy with a bunch of ceiling despite a low projection, or something like that.
When I have extra time, I’ll throw in some commentary. This one will be free, but after this it’ll be behind the paywall.

It’s a surprisingly light SP slate for it being the second game of the year. The guys who are most interesting to watch are Jeffrey Springs, Tylor Megill, Reynaldo Lopez, Kevin Gausman. and Jack Leiter.
I’ve been asked a few times about streaming Springs. And I am all about that. I believe that Springs is good, and this is an elite matchup for him in Seattle.
I’d probably take the “wait and see” approach on Megill and Leiter, and that’s reflected below. Here it is:
Must Starts
Ryan Pepiot (TB) vs. COL (20.46 Projected Fantasy Points)
Jeffrey Springs (OAK) vs. SEA (19.31 Projected Fantasy Points)
Luis Castillo (SEA) vs. OAK (17.82 Projected Fantasy Points)

Tomorrow :: 2025-03-29
And then we look at tomorrow. The probable pitchers come from CBS. They can certainly be wrong at times, so do your own homework there to make sure the guy is starting before you pick him up.
