LEGEND
Anchor Arms - General consensus is they are going to dominate the matchup.
Send it Guys - Expect a solid performance. Thanks to either a favorable matchup or just a hot hand.
Danger Zone - Could be an awesome start with a solid amount of upside, but it’s not a comfortable matchup.
Desperation Station - A super unfavorable matchup, but you are desperate for points, so you start them anyway.
Hard Pass - Dudes I don’t have any interest in starting.
DISCLAIMER - Starters subject to change; we use the best information we have available to project who will be starting on a given day.
Monday August 10th
ANCHOR ARMS
Tarik Skubal vs Kansas City
Logan Henderson @ San Diego
Reid Detmers vs Texas
SEND IT GUYS
MacKenzie Gore @ LAA
Christian Scott @ Atlanta
Sonny Gray @ Toronto - This will be the third time he will face off against the Jays. That traditionally tends to favor the offense.
Trevor Rogers @ Minnesota
DANGER ZONE
Michael Soroka vs Colorado - First game back off rehab. He’s been solid this year.
Casey Mize vs Milwaukee - This will be his first start in his new home; his first road start did not go well at all.
Jacob Lopez vs Tampa Bay - He’s been fine but can’t feel comfortable at home. Rays offense has a lot to be desired though.
Dean Kremer vs Baltimore - REVENGE GAME!
DESPERATION STATION
Freddy Peralta @ Athletics - His first start as a Ray was an absolute disaster in Colorado. This time in Sacramento, I don’t like the spot.
Jameson Taillon vs Boston
Hayden Wesneski @ San Francisco
Bryce Elder vs NYM
Gabriel Hughes @ Arizona
HARD PASS
Andrew Painter @ St. Louis
Blade Tidwell vs Houston
Noah Cameron @ LAD
Hunter Dobbins vs Philadelphia
Tuesday August 11th
ANCHOR ARMS
Dylan Cease vs Boston
Paul Skenes @ Miami
Cristopher Sanchez @ St. Louis - Do we have any pause here with a road matchup? I can’t bench him, but it certainly worries me.
Kyle Harrison @ San Diego - He left his last start with BOTH of his calves cramping.
SEND IT GUYS
Sean Burke vs Cincinnati - Tough start out last time, good bounce-back spot here.
Nolan McLean @ Atlanta - Really good road splits.
Eury Perez vs Pittsburgh
Ryan Weathers vs Seattle
Hunter Brown @ San Francisco - His command has tremendously improved over his last three starts. The 31% Ball% on his fastball is great to see.
DANGER ZONE
Bryan Woo @ NYY - Bumped down due to road matchup. I’m strongly considering benching him.
Brandon Young @ Minnesota
Nick Lodolo @ CWS
Bailey Ober vs Baltimore
Cody Bradford @ LAA
Blake Snell vs Kansas City - First start off the IL. I think he’s going to be fine here. Last couple rehab starts were roughly four innings long. I would expect Snell to have another short start while he continues to build up.
DESPERATION STATION
Tanner Bibee @ Detroit - Don’t expect him to have 10 strikeouts again.
Nick Martinez @ Athletics
Michael Wacha @ LAD
Andre Pallante vs Philadelphia - Solid home splits; Philly offense is a scary matchup.
Martin Perez vs NYM
Patrick Sandoval @ Toronto
Mitch Bratt vs Colorado
HARD PASS
Carson Whisenhunt vs Houston - Awesome changeup, walks too many guys.
Walker Buehler vs Milwaukee
Tomoyuki Sugano @ Arizona
Jake Irvin vs CHC
Ryan Johnson vs Texas
Javier Assad @ Washington
Drew Anderson vs Cleveland - Bulk opener. Hasn’t thrown more than 50 pitches.
Mason Barnett vs Tampa Bay
Wednesday August 12th
ANCHOR ARMS
Zack Wheeler @ St. Louis
Nathan Eovaldi @ LAA
SEND IT GUYS
Drew Rasmussen @ Athletics - Nothing of concern in his profile. He’s bounced back well from those few crappy starts.
Braxton Ashcraft @ Miami - Home runs have been a problem; he has a great projection, I am weary about putting him here. We’ll lean on the numbers, but I see him more as a Danger Zone guy.
Jose Soriano vs Boston
Shota Imanaga @ Washington
DANGER ZONE
Shane Baz @ Minnesota - Projections aren’t overzealous for him. But he’s been great for the past month. If the poor guy could get some run support, he’d probably have 10 or more wins.
Bryce Miller @ NYY - Not many whiffs recently and giving up way too many dingers (11 in his last 10 starts).
Foster Griffin @ Detroit
Framber Valdez vs Cleveland
Ranger Suarez @ Toronto - Only went three innings last time out.
Will Warren vs Seattle
Kyle Leahy vs Philadelphia - He’s on a roll right now. In his last five starts, he has a 24% K-BB% and a 2.28 JA SIERA.
DESPERATION STATION
Robbie Ray vs Milwaukee
Dustin May @ San Diego
Eric Lauer vs Kansas City
Ronel Blanco @ San Francisco
Tyler Mahle vs NYM
Janson Junk vs Pittsburgh
Merrill Kelly vs Colorado
Jack Perkins vs Tampa Bay
Zebby Matthews vs Baltimore
HARD PASS
Luis Castillo vs Cincinnati - Projections kinda like the spot, I do not.
Zac Thornton @ Atlanta
George Klassen vs Texas
Adrian Houser vs Houston
Rhett Lowder @ CWS
Daniel Lynch IV @ LAD
Miles Mikolas vs CHC
Ryan Feltner @ Arizona
