For those who may not have caught my reasoning for the names, I’ll leave them at the top of these articles going forward.
Anchor Arms - General consensus is they are going to dominate the matchup.
Send it Guys - Expect a solid performance. Thanks to either a favorable matchup or just a hot hand.
Danger Zone - Could be an awesome start with a solid amount of upside, but it’s not a comfortable matchup.
Desperation Station - A super unfavorable matchup, but you are desperate for points, so you start them anyway.
Hard Pass - Dudes I don’t have any interest in starting.
Hot take for the weekend. After all the hoopla of juiced balls this week, we see someone rip off a no-hitter. Friday night, we are looking at you.
Thursday June 25th
ANCHOR ARMS
Cristopher Sanchez @ Washington
Kevin Gausman vs Texas
Cam Schlittler @ Boston
SEND IT GUYS
Bryce Miller @ Pittsburgh - Ain’t no piggyback crap here. Bryce has a 27.2% K-BB% the last two months.
DANGER ZONE
Connelly Early vs NYY - Been an up and down season for Early. Has good stuff, just can’t quite figure out how to use/sequence it.
Landon Roupp vs Athletics - Solid at home.
Matthew Boyd @ NYM - First start off IL, be careful here. Might be a good spot for Matt to earn some K’s.
Cade Cavali vs Philadelphia - He pitched sick last time out which is why it looks so bad.
Tatsuyi Imai @ Detroit - Been trending in the right direction. Just so inconsistent and don’t love the road matchup.
DESPERATION STATION
Ian Seymour vs Kansas City - Pitch count has been climbing, but still probably won’t go over five innings.
Freddy Peralta vs CHC - Man…..Dude got absolutely hammered by the Phillies last week. He’s got one more chance before he’s a hard pass. He grades out well here based on projections. I don’t know folks, going to be hard to start.
Bubba Chandler vs Seattle
MacKenzie Gore @ Toronto - His last two starts have been great at home. Blue Jays don’t strike out a ton, could be a tough one for em.
Troy Melton vs Houston
HARD PASS
Zac Gallen @ St. Louis - No…. just no.
Michael McGreevy vs Arizona
Seth Lugo @ Tampa Bay - Doesn’t get any strikeouts
Jeffery Springs @ San Francisco
