Week 1 is officially in the books, and we survived to live another day as long as you read my full post from last weekend!

Our #1 pick was the Jaguars, who won without a single sweat, and our #2 pick was the Steelers. I had both in the pools I participate in, so we Survive & Advance to Week 2!

Thursday is already done. Buffalo beat Detroit 31-41. The Bills are off the board, so we are still saving them. The Lions are also now available later, which is a gift if you stayed off them in Week 1.

Quick Thoughts

  • Biggest spread - 49ers (-13.5) at home vs Miami

  • Best Week 2 burn - Buccaneers (-8.5) at home vs Cleveland

  • Do not touch - Chiefs, Rams, Patriots, Chargers

Public ownership is looking like Bucs ~ 30-33%, 49ers ~24-30%, Eagles ~8%, Ravens ~7%

I’m curious what the Circa survivor pool ownership will be this week.

This was from Week 1. Entries were $1,000; almost 30% of them were wiped out by the Chargers. So it appears the Bucs and 49ers could be closer in ownership than we think.

Tampa Bay looks to be the best “use them now” team on the board. One scary thing is Baker’s performance last week against Cincy. He fumbled three times! I don’t expect that to happen again; the Bucs probably would have won last week if Baker held onto the ball.

49ers are back for their first game in the States. I expect them to dominate ownership this week. I am going to fade the biggest spread again, hoping to avoid disaster. On the other hand, this is their softest matchup on the upcoming schedule.
