We have a bit of a lighter slate today on Monday. We had Chase get scratched already today, which essentially makes it a bullpen game for Casey in Cincinnati, which I love but I don’t love. We’re not going to have a big card today. Not a ton of spots we like but we found a couple value spots.
We’ve taken advantage of this spot a couple times this season already, where we’ve seen the books on a guy that’s got more pitches as he’s gone stretch out. Luinder Avila of the Royals, he threw 67 pitches his last time out, and it’s just a matter of what he’s facing: the Reds strikeout and an alarming rate, almost as much as the Angels. They’re 2 in the league this season vs right-handed pitching and the lowest K rate is 20%, which is by JJ Bleday. They have multiple guys in the 30s and they moved his line up to 3.5 at plus money.
