If you’ve been rostering Jacob Misiorowski this year, you already know the feeling. You open the lineup card, see the salary, wince a little, and play him anyway because the strikeout ceiling is just too good to pass up. That tension is the whole story right now, and it’s worth slowing down to understand because we’ve seen this movie before. The last time a pitcher created this exact problem for DFS players was Clayton Kershaw in 2015, the year he punched out 301 hitters and watched his price climb to a frankly absurd 14.5K on some slates.
So let’s put the two side by side and talk about what it means for how you build. I have been fading Misiorowski so far in GPP and just hoping we can fade him. It’s not working. I have been getting my butt kicked on his slate so this is how I’m going to approach him going forward.
