Here are my choices for round nine:
SHARP: LUIS ROBERT JR.
I hate this group of 15 players, so this wasn’t an easy choice. But Robert is the dude I could really see having a game-changing season in 2026. He quietly improved in plate discipline last year.
That’s a seven-point reduction in K% and a 2.6-point improvement in walk rate. He made real changes. The results weren’t there (other than his 33 steals), but it’s a very good sign, especially with the change of scenery now. I think he could have a big year with the Mets, and at this price, it feels pretty sharp to take a shot at it (again…).
FISH: CEDDANNE RAFAELA
What do we see in this guy, exactly? He’s wildly aggressive at the plate, doesn’t hit the ball hard, hits at the bottom of the lineup, and has a horrible OBP, which limits the stolen base upside his speed gives him.
It’s a disastrous profile. I’d be pretty into taking the upside if he were priced right, which I would say is 50-75 picks later than this. It’s just a price that I can’t make any sense out of. I promise you, you will not regret not having Rafaela on your fantasy teams this year.
