Shallow League Pitcher Targets
Clayton Beeter, Nationals-RP (31%): Keep waiting for someone to run away with the closer role with the Nationals, and Beeter appears to have quietly taken the job. The former Yankee has three saves in the past week.
Mason Montgomery, Pirates-RP: Maybe he’s not the closer, but he’s established himself as the #1 reliever in Pittsburgh with this recent run of dominance.
Deep League Pitcher Targets
Anthony Kay, White Sox-SP (20%): At Rays and vs. CLE next two starts. Good schedule.
Brandon Sproat, Milwaukee-SP (30%): vs. PIT, at MIN next two - should have some success. Bet on Brewers starting pitchers!
Quinn Mathews, St. Louis-SP (3%): Making MLB debut on Saturday. After a breakout 2024, he had no control in 2025. After repeating at Triple A, Mathews found his control in June and has a 1.55 ERA with 55 Ks in 52.1 innings since the start of June. Might be rough for the rest of 2026, but sets him up for sleeper success next year.
Hayden Wesneski, Astros-SP (7%): Most impressive part of his season debut after 2025 Tommy John surgery? He gave up three runs and four hits in the first inning. No runs, three hits the next 4.2 innings. Better things are coming for the former Cub.
Jacob Lopez, Athletics-SP (6%): Re-tooled in the minors and has a 27% K% since returning. Next start should be on the road.
Patrick Sandoval, Red Sox-SP (6%): Not a good fastball, but the changeup and slider are pretty good. He can give you a handful of strikeouts when he’s out there.
Shallow League Hitter Targets
Dylan Crews, Nationals-OF (46%): Another homer this week, looking better (.316 xwOBA, 27 PA/HR).
Jasson Dominguez, Yankees-OF (43%): Hasn’t been good, but has been forced into every day reps, and still has HR+SB ability.
Pedro Ramirez, Cubs-2B/3B (11%): Could he be the apple of another team’s eye. After a great start in Triple A, he’s hitting .315 getting intermittent playing time with the Cubs.
Max Clark, Tigers-OF (7%): Top prospect still in the minors, Clark will make his MLB debut tonight. The 21-year-old has speed (21 SBs in 90 games in Triple A), good OBP (career .375+ in minors) with future 15-20 HR power.
Deep League Hitter Targets
Lane Thomas, Royals-OF (18%): Trade candidate, could get a counting stat boost, .750 OPS since mid-June. He’s #fine.
Eduardo Valencia. Tigers- C/1B (3%): New backup to Dillon Dingler now that Jake Rogers has been released. After eight years in the Tigers’ farm system, he has four HRs in the first eight MLB games.
Hao Yu Lee, Tigers-2B (8%): Recently had a 12-game hitting streak. If Gleyber Torres is traded, Lee will get all the playing time at 2B.

Zac Thornton, Mets (SP): Looking more and more like a long-term rotation piece for New York, the rookie threw a quality start vs. Braves.
Christian Scott, Mets (SP): Joining Thornton in that rotation will likely be Scott. His rebound from 2024 Tommy John surgery took his entire 2025 season and the start of this season. Now, he’s flashing the skills he showed back then, especially after going season-high six innings, striking out seven and allowing just one run against the Braves this week.
Kumar Rocker, Rangers (SP): His wipeout slider and almost everything else was working against the Mariners, striking out seven in 6.2, while allowing only two runs.
Shallow League Misses
Shane Drohan, Brewers (SP): Immediately went out and gave up five earned runs hours after we gave him the top spot in our waivers.
Deep League Hits
Brandyn Garcia, Diamondbacks (RP): Another blown save by closer Paul Sewald is followed immediately the next game by a Garcia save. He’s inching closer to being the top guy in the Arizona bullpen.
Cooper Pratt, Brewers (SS): The rookie continues to hit (7 for 18), steal bases (2 last week) and play solid defense.

Joey Ortiz, Brewers (3B/SS): Playing time concerns reared their ugly head as soon as David Hamilton got off the IL last weekend.
