I like life on this side of the hustle. I give the advice, the projections, and the tools to other people, and they use that stuff to decide where to go with their money.
That’s not to say that I don’t spread some money around for fun. What I have basically no interest in is locking up some of my fun money for seven months because there’s a slight edge.
It would be great if these sportsbooks gave you an option to hide an open bet and just have it pop back up when it settles. So, if I’m just an idiot and that’s possible, let me know.
We like projections here at MLB DW. Trying to predict the future is fun. And baseball is one of the easier ones to predict the future in. So let’s get into some projections and see if we can be smarter than DraftKings.
I used The Bat X WAR projections for this. I think that’s the best system for the nitty-gritty in grinding out edges and win projections. Maybe it’s not the greatest for the specifics of the fantasy game, but I’ve talked to Derek Carty plenty, and I know all of the detail that goes into his work. It’s impressive stuff. So that’s the model I chose. Here are my derived team records from his individual player projections.
