Deep League Hitter Targets
Nathan Church (STL - OF)- If you missed the rush to pick up this second-year player, no worries. It is more likely than not, that we all missed his best power week of the season last week. A guy who MLB Pipeline gave a 40 power grade to has 5 HRs this season. In the minors, his season best was 13. He is also carrying a strikeout rate of 23% in 2026. This for a guy who never strike out more than 12.6% in the minors. Sometimes you just miss the opportunity you never saw coming.Nathaniel Lowe (CIN - 1B) - Power is coming
Adrian Del Castillo (ARZ - C) -
Jose Fernandez (ARZ - 1B/SS)
Nolan Gorman (STL - IF) - playing every day
Kyle Karros (COL - IF) - playing every day
Drew Gilbert (SF - OF) - playing every day
Last Week’s Waiver Wire Review
Shallow League Hits
Cade Cavalli, Nationals: While John was not buying, Jon was. Cavalli struck out 10 in six innings against the Mets. He also gave up 10 base runners, but only two runs.
Landen Roupp, Giants: Despite a career ERA higher at home than on the road, the 27-year-old Roupp continued the strong start to his 2026 season with a second straight strong home start. Roupp went a season-high 7.2 innings and got a little unlucky allowing only three baserunners, but they all came in to score. Saw him traded straight-up for Pete Crow-Armstrong in a 16-team dynasty league this week.
Josh Jung, Rangers: Continues to hit and stay healthy. Extended hit streak to 11 of past 12 games (19-for-52, .365) including all four home runs for the season.
Shallow League Misses
Amed Rosario, Yankees: Did not take advantage of Giancarlo Stanton’s calf injury and is about to lose more playing time with Anthony Volpe returning.
Gary Sanchez, Brewers: Backup catcher is only 1-for-8 since last week.
Deep League Hits
Ildemaro Vargas, Diamondbacks: One of the few hitters to take advantage of the trip to Mexico, hitting his 6th homer of the year. The legend of his 2026 season continues to grow with a 21-game hitting streak to start his season.
Edouard Julien, Rockies: Despite being on the road, the strong side of the second base platoon continues to hit and is getting to the power he showed in his rookie season of 2023. That year he hit 16 bombs in 109 games. Looks like there might be some Moneyball magic left for new Rockies GM Paul DePodesta.
Deep League Misses
Chase Meidroth, White Sox: Stolen bases and walks have vanished for a guy with little power, that is not good news. Despite 20 plate appearances, only one run and one RBI.
Riley Cornelio, Nationals: Looked like Washington’s 41st-rated prospect in his MLB debut giving up three runs (2 ER), four walks, two hits and just striking out one in two innings. He was sent straight back to Triple A.
