Shallow League Pitcher Targets
Davis Martin, White Sox - Is this real? The more weeks he puts together like the past four make us think so. He is 3-0 with 1.04 ERA and better than a strikeout per inning in the past four starts.
Sean Burke, White Sox - Less exciting than Martin, Burke is trying to rebound from a poor showing in 2025 (4-11, 4.22 ERA) after looking like a future star in three starts to end 2024 (1.42 ERA). Big gains in control (1.82 BB/9) are helping make up for lack of strikeouts (7.26 K/9) this season.
Gus Varland, Nationals - He sure looks like the Nationals’ new closer.
