Write for MLB Data Warehouse
Looking to add on to the writing team as we strive toward MLB DW reaching its full potential
Important note: This is nothing resembling a job. The compensation will be a comp’d subscription for as long as you’re contributing, and a small amount of monthly cash. I’m really just looking for people who are in for the fun and the love of it.
That said, I do think MLB DW has some serious growth potential. And if you’re contributing in a way that I don’t want to lose, then you’ll earn yourself a piece of the pie.
Here’s what I’m looking for:
Offseason
- News writers: These will be people reacting to breaking news and writing out some quick reaction to what’s happening. It should come from a fantasy baseball perspective primarily, but general baseball talk is welcome. Bonus points if we can get some of that “news mining” stuff going on where you’re really in the thick of reports and picking out tidbits that aren’t as widely reported.
- Projection summarizers: I’ve thought it would be cool to have a 30-team series where we look at the season-long projections for each team (once they’re closer to finalized in January) and see what stands out. This can also be a podcast. I’d do it myself, but I really don’t think I’d have the time since I’m going through the detailed team previews.
In-Season
This is what I’m really interested in. I want to put out all the desired in-season content, but I can’t do it myself.
- DFS Writers: Looking for experienced DFS players who can write up slate previews, primarily using my projections as a basis. I will handle this 2-3 times per week, but I’d love it if we could have a DFS article up every day. There will be all kinds of projection tools and a really strong DraftKings lineup optimizer when the season gets rolling.
- Betting: My projections definitely have an edge in some of the betting markets, so I’m always open to someone who wants to write up some daily prop bets.
- FAAB Article Contributor: This is something I’d rather not trust to anybody else, but it’s also not something I can get to every week. I’d love a weekly in-depth FAAB/waiver wire article. Your job here could be working in conjunction with me. It could be a team effort, but if you’re good enough I’d be happy to eventually let someone else take it over.
- “Dashboard Darlings” Article: This could be 2-3 times a week or whatever pace is needed. But I think it’d be a cool article idea to show off the Tableau dashboards with player analysis involved. Find a player that is really popping in one of the many dashboard pages and write them up while showing off the dashboard. The goal being to show off the tools and drive more people to a paid subscription so they can get the tools themselves.
Other ideas are more than welcome! I’m trying to take MLB DW to the next level for 2026.
I’m looking for laid-back personalities. Since the pay isn’t really significant, I can’t really hold anybody to any sort of commitment, but I’d also rather not hire a bunch of people who flame out after four weeks! Humor is beneficial as well.
Apply Here. I will get back to you within a couple of weeks if you’re chosen.
