Check out the latest from John Allen! Taking a look at favorable parks that some hitters will be visiting:

Two Start Streamers

That’s the full list of scheduled two-start pitchers under 50% owned. And there’s not much to like. Colin Rea has to face the Braves, which is tough, but he gets a break against the White Sox. And the Cubs don’t seem to be able to lose. Their starters have 20 wins already, which is 5.2% of the MLB total wins from starters. One divided by 30 is 3.3%, so they have way more than their share of the league total. Rea himself has four wins to be tied for the team high. Of course, that’s not a predictive stat, but you get what I’m saying. The Cubs win a lot of games, and that’s good for their SPs.

Andre Pallante is an option. He doesn’t give up many dingers with his ground-ball ways, and that will help him deal with this A’s lineup that relies a lot on the long ball. The Royals just don’t do a lot of run scoring, and Pallante will be lined up against a couple of pitchers here that should give him fair chances at a win. He’s also a pretty solid quality start guy as a pitch-to-contact pitcher who has a longer leash since the Cardinals are always looking for some innings so their bullpen doesn’t get taxed by their bad rotation.

So those are the two I’d be looking for. But don’t expect many strikeouts even from those two starts.

One Start Streamers

Must own: Logan Henderson. I’m guessing he’s owned in your league, but at 46% overall, I feel like I need to tell the full readership here that you should get him if he’s available. He’ll face the Twins this week.

We also might see Bryce Miller’s debut this week. He’s a viable add/stash if you’re hurting at SP.

  • Griffin Jax (5/12 vs. TOR): I think he should be owned in deeper leagues now, he’s building up the pitch count and he could be a pretty decent starting pitcher once he gets fully built up.

  • Carmen Mlodzinski (4/15 vs. COL): He might be near the end of his run as a starter (although Bubba Chandler might be the right choice to be replaced by Jared Jones), but Mlod will get a home start against the Rockies this week.

  • Cade Cavalli (5/16 vs. BAL): We’ll get to see him again Sunday (vs. MIA) to get a little more information. So far it’s been boom-or-bust, but the Orioles are “boomable” with their heavy strikeout rate and reliance on the home run.

  • Christian Scott (5/13 vs. DET): The Tigers are a beatable team now with this decimated pitching staff. And their offense has been far from elite even when they’re going right. Scott has shown mixed signs, but he’s a young and talented arm with plenty of reasons to believe in the profile.

  • Ben Brown (5/14 vs ATL): Bad matchup and he’s not ready to push much past 60 pitches, I don’t think. But I don’t want to sit on my hands too long waiting, because I do believe this guy could be a very useful SP if that’s where the Cubs are taking him.

  • Mike Burrows (5/13 vs. SEA): Raleigh just can’t get anything consistently going, which makes the Mariners a somewhat beatable offense. Burrows is coming off of seven shutout innings on Friday, so maybe there’s something starting to correct there.

  • JT Ginn (5/13 vs. STL): Looked really good last time out. I don’t expect a ton of that, but he’s a half-decent arm when he’s right, and the matchup here is fine.

  • Chase Dollander (5/14 vs. PIT): Probably a non-Coors start for Dollander, although he hasn’t looked good lately in or out of Coors. If they push him back one day, he’ll end up in Coors. So I wouldn’t prioritize him with an add, but that start would be a day (after night) game in Pittsburgh, which is a pretty good matchup for the high-stuff righty.

  • Connor Prielipp (5/14 vs. MIA): Lefties vs. MIA is a spot to target, and Prielipp might be able to shut them down with that slider.

  • Slade Cecconi (5/12 vs. LAA): Lots of dudes are piling up big strikeout totals against the Halos. I doubt it can happen for Cecconi and his pitch-to-contact ways, but it’s a boosted matchup regardless.

  • Ty Madden (5/15 vs. TOR): The Tigers are going to give Madden a look as a traditional starter out of necessity. He looked very good in his first go at it. Will it continue? Probably not, but we’ll find out soon, I suppose!
